These terms set out the rules for using our website. By using the site, you confirm that you accept them and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
We recommend you print or save a copy for future reference.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and forms part of these terms.
These terms do not cover coaching. If you apply and we agree to work together, the coaching itself is governed by a separate agreement provided to you before you pay anything. Nothing on this website forms an offer to provide coaching, and submitting an application does not create a contract between us.
We may amend these terms at any time by updating this page. Please check it from time to time; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
We may also update the site from time to time, including changing its content. We are under no obligation to keep any particular content on the site, and content may be out of date at any given moment.
The site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that it will always be available or uninterrupted, and we may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of it for business or operational reasons. We will try to give reasonable notice of any planned suspension.
You are responsible for making the arrangements necessary to access the site, and for ensuring that anyone accessing it through your internet connection is aware of these terms.
This is the most important section on the page, so it is written plainly.
Everything on this website - the articles, the recipes, the research summaries, the descriptions of coaching - is general information. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a treatment plan for you personally.
Tomas Mitkus is a nutritional therapist registered with the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners and a CIMSPA-registered personal trainer. He is not a doctor, and nothing on this site is a substitute for advice from your GP, consultant, pharmacist or another qualified healthcare professional.
You should speak to a suitably qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet, exercise or lifestyle, and you should do so in particular if any of the following apply:
Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read here. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact 999 or NHS 111 immediately.
The content on this site is provided for general information only. It is not advice on which you should rely, and we make no representations or warranties, express or implied, that it is accurate, complete or up to date.
Where we refer to published research, we do so in good faith and cite the source so you can read it yourself. Research summaries are our interpretation, they are necessarily simplified, and scientific understanding changes over time.
The testimonials, photographs and figures shown on this site are genuine. Each is published with the written permission of the person concerned, and the photographs have not been digitally altered.
They are individual experiences. Results depend on the person - their starting point, their circumstances, their health, and how consistently they follow the programme. They are examples of what has happened, not a promise of what will happen for you. No particular outcome is guaranteed.
Where a guarantee is offered in connection with coaching, its terms are set out in full in the coaching agreement.
We own or are licensed to use all intellectual property rights in this site and its content, including text, photographs, design and layout. Those works are protected by copyright and other laws.
You may print off one copy and download extracts of any page for your own personal use, and you may draw the attention of others to content on the site.
You must not modify copies of any material you have printed or downloaded, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs or graphics separately from the accompanying text. Our status as the author of content on the site must always be acknowledged.
You must not use any part of the content for commercial purposes without a licence from us. If you print, copy or download any part of the site in breach of these terms, your right to use it will cease immediately and you must return or destroy any copies you have made.
You may not conduct, facilitate or authorise any text or data mining, web scraping, or similar automated extraction of content from this site, including for the purpose of training machine learning or artificial intelligence systems. This applies whether or not the extraction is for commercial purposes.
We expressly reserve our rights under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 on Copyright in the Digital Single Market and any equivalent provision in UK law. This does not affect the exception for text and data mining for non-commercial research where that exception applies and cannot be excluded.
You may link to our home page or to any article, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.
You must not suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement where none exists, and you must not frame the site on any other website. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice.
When you complete the application form, email us or message us, you confirm that the information you give is accurate and that you are at least 18 years old.
We ask you not to include detailed medical information in the application form. If it is relevant, we will cover it properly at a later stage.
Submitting an application does not oblige us to offer you coaching, and it does not oblige you to buy anything. We may decline an application without giving a reason.
You must not misuse the site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server on which it is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to it. You must not attack the site via a denial-of-service attack.
Doing any of these things is a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and will co-operate with them, including by disclosing your identity. Your right to use the site will cease immediately.
We do not guarantee that the site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your own technology and using your own virus protection software.
Where the site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties - including research papers, our booking system and social media - these are provided for your information only. We have no control over their contents and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss arising from your use of them.
We do not exclude or limit our liability to you in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Different limitations apply to any coaching services you buy, and those are set out in the coaching agreement.
Please note that we only provide the site for domestic and private use. If you use it for any commercial or business purpose, we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
We will not be liable for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence of our breach, or if it was contemplated by both you and us at the time you started using the site.
We exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to the site or its content. We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising under or in connection with use of, or inability to use, the site, or use of or reliance on any content displayed on it.
In particular, we will not be liable for loss of profits, sales, business or revenue; business interruption; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
We only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
These terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by English law.
If you are a consumer, you and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in Scotland, and if you live in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.
If you are a business, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
